#2 Train and retrain your clinical team (and yourself too!): Do you realize that your team will get to interact with your patients before they meet you? Your staff is the “pretty” face of your clinic…no matter who they are.

What does that mean for you? You have to train your staff to present a great first impression and address any of your patients’ questions and concerns regarding your practice, your billing procedures and what they should expect from you.

Your team should not only know about all the services you provide but also offer specific details such as pricing, specific equipment used during procedures, what to expect during an office visit with you or any other pertinent information that eases anxieties and creates a very pleasing and comfortable atmosphere for your patients. Remember this first (and I should not have to say this), but you should be paying your staff a comfortable and rewarding salary or hourly wage. If you have to cut expenses, THIS is not the place to do it. You need to have a happy and content staff backing you up.
